A few weeks back we got to have my niece and nephew come and stay with us for a couple of days. For cheap fun we decided to get the slip and slide out. Luckily for me, my cute Mom came down to help me out that day, (Thanks Mom :) and she ended up squirting the kids down before they slid. On a side note, you are supposed to hook the hose up to the slide and it gets the slide wet for you, but the second time we used it, it got a massive hole, great huh?? So anyway, that's why we had to improvise and squirt it down manually. Lucky for me the kids didn't care how it worked.

Earlier that day I took them to the park. The kids posed like this all by themselves if you can believe it.
To celebrate the 24th we went to the Bountiful parade with my family and had fireworks. We took a picture of all of the girls. Left to right: My Grandma Hess, Erin (sister), Abby (sister), Lauren (Abby's daughter), Emmi, Me, and my mom Annette.
Also that weekend Chad and I decided to take the kids to our city's new outdoor pool. I slacked off this year and forgot to take pictures of the boys during their swimming lessons (oops!). But, the kids were sooo excited to go swimming with "Papa". The water was not to cold, and it wasn't too busy... we had so much fun. Chad even suggested that we buy a season pass next year, which was very unexpected.
Emmi had to go down with me or Chad on this slide. We had her go by herself once and she came out on her back head first. Yeah, it scared me pretty good and I won't do that again.

We had a blast cooling off.
