My Poor Plant...

Yesterday, I got the cutest thing on camera. I was setting the table for dinner and so I put Emmi in her Bumbo chair (or "bum chair" as Keaton calls it). I always take my little plant off of the dining table and onto the counter during meals. So, I was setting the table and not paying attention when I happened to look and see Emmi grabbing at my plant. I took this picture as she got a handful. Then...

The next second she pulled the plant towards her. You can see a little bit of the water and dirt mess that this left me on the counter and went dripping down onto the floor.



Seeing that she got my attention, she gave me a big grin, still holding firm onto the poor plant.



Well, I finally stepped in and tried to tear my plant away, but not without a loss. Emmi had a leaf in her little fist and quickly went to taste it. (I didn't let her eat it of course)



I moved the plant behind her, hoping it was out of sight and out of mind. Ha ha, she was too smart for me and immediately arched her back looking for the prize! What a stinker!! I have learned my lesson and will not put Emmi anywhere close to the plant again. My family will testify that I always kill every plant that I own (usually by over or under watering it). My little sister Erin even got me a cactus as a birthday gift a couple years ago. She joked saying at least I couldn't kill this one. Actually, I did!! I love this little plant I have now and I am so proud that I have kept this alive for almost a year now, (yea me). So naturally, I will keep it now far away from Emmi!!
