Summer Means...

Sparklers. The 4th wouldn't be the same without them. How can something so simple be so fascinating and dangerous? (Yes, my big brother J, will not hold one because they scare him!) My boys weren't scared, but you can see by the pictures how intrigued they were by the lights. God bless the U.S.A! Swinging. As we have been able to spend more time at the park lately, we have discovered Emmi's love of the swing. It is by far her favorite thing to do in the summer. Here she is with her Aunt Kristin at our 4th of July barbecue. Swimming Lessons. This is the first year I have put my boys in swimming lessons and I am glad I did. They are both well on their way to knowing the basics of swimming and staying out of danger, which will put their Mama and Grandma at ease. I was able to put them in a different class, but at the same time. I put Sam in his best friend Eden's class (pictured above) and Keaton in his best friend Tanner's class.
Keaton with his teacher during a lesson. Sam, Keaton and Tanner The Beach. Okay, we haven't gone to the beach, but to the reservoir which is just as good to us! The boys bring their buckets and dump trucks and go crazy playing in the sand and splashing in the water. We go with Sidni and her kids and make a day of it. Sidni's youngest Maddix and Emmi playing in the shade. We are so lucky that Sidni shares her huge canopy with us, so we don't bake in the sun. T-Ball. Keaton has finished his t-ball games for the season and is already talking about playing next year. Nothing is more American or summer-ish than that!!

I only wish that we lived closer so I wouldn't miss out on these moments, and I mean moments. It seems like only yesterday Keek was born and next month he will be going to school!!! These pictures are proof positive that I have the cutest grandkids in all the land. Thanks for blogging Beaner. I enjoy the pictures and your eloquent words. Your blog is beautiful.
Thanks from the Dramma from afar.
Love you more,
Mama

You pretty much hit everything that is crucial to having a memorable summer...everything that is, except for the watermelon. Where's the watermelon?! In all seriousness I love the pictures. You are really turning into quite the photographer and I absolutely love seeing my cuties grow up. I can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks at the game. Love you!

Got to love the summer pictures. Go Sam. Eden was scared of the sparklers, it took a few tries and then she loved it.

Okay, this is the best post ever! I love summer so much and I'm sad that it's half-way over already.

Oh, and I'm adding tan lines to your list. It's rare that this fair skin of mine sees them, but it's fantastic when it does :)
